Your adventure begins with a pre-dawn meeting at the northwest corner of North Dale Mabry Hwy. and Northdale Blvd. at the far end of the Kash n' Karry parking lot. The pilot will launch a pi-ball (helium balloon) to determine the direction of the winds, which in turn will determine the launch site for that morning. From there the pilot and ground crew will escort you to the launch site where we will assemble and inflate the balloon. The inflation process will take approximately 15 minutes during which time you can roam about the field and take in the sites. (This is a great photo opp!) Once the hot air balloon is inflated the pilot will go through his pre-flight checks and then invite you aboard. You will then float away from the earth and rise with the sun. While inflight you will see marine life, wildlife and people. Your inflight time will be approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Upon landing the ground crew will be there to welcome you back to earth and pack up the balloon. After the flight, we offer a traditional champaign or sparkling cider toast. You will then be returned to your vehicle and receive a gift certificate to your local Perkins Resturanut & Bakery, a free cup of clam chowder at Shells Seafood, a free kids meal at Shells Seafood and a picture of Tranquility.
